Description
This Japan Beauty model features “Katsuo-jima,” a traditional striped fabric woven in the Enshu region of Shizuoka, one of Japan’s renowned cotton textile areas. Inspired by the bonito fish (katsuo), the pattern showcases a beautiful indigo-to-white gradation and has been loved since the Edo period as a classic yukata design.
Each pair is uniquely patterned depending on the fabric cut, giving every shoe its own character. Blending traditional Japanese craftsmanship with a modern style, the design offers a calm and elegant look while symbolizing good fortune, as “katsuo” also means “winning man.”
The fabric-covered upper provides a soft, relaxed feel with easy slip-on comfort.
